Customer-Facing Technologist

Elad Edi

I sit at the intersection of customer, product, engineering, and business. My expertise isn't one specific technology โ€” it's the ability to see the full picture, ask the right questions, and connect the dots across disciplines.

Who I am

Engineer by nature โ€” and by profession.

I solve hard problems. The kind that live at the intersection of systems, people, and scale. My edge isn't deep expertise in one specific domain โ€” it's the ability to see the full picture fast, ask the right questions, and make complex things actually move.

I work in HPC infrastructure, sitting at the boundary between customers, product, and engineering. I can be in a C-level conversation and a hands-on technical debug on the same day โ€” and make both feel natural.

Outside work: climbing walls, snowboards, ninja warrior training, and side projects that were supposed to take a weekend. They never take a weekend. Same curiosity, different problems.

Specializing in HPC scheduling and resource management โ€” PBS Professional, Slurm, Grid Engine, Accelerator. I work at the boundary between customers and product: translating field insights and customer pain into structured product feedback, RFEs, and prioritization inputs. I lead large-scale migration and upgrade projects across complex HPC environments, engage directly with C-level executives and front-line engineers, and provide input into product decisions around scalability, observability, and scheduler behavior.

Application Engineer
Jul 2021 โ€“ Jul 2022
Bridged customers, R&D, and Sales in a fast-moving deep-tech environment. Led Alpha/Beta programs, served as the technical focal point for product issues, and supported go-to-market readiness through demos, training, and enablement materials. Turned customer use cases into actionable product feedback.

Board Designer
Feb 2017 โ€“ Oct 2019
Led end-to-end board development from architecture definition through validation, balancing performance, cost, and reliability requirements. Hands-on design using Altium and Cadence. Worked with internal customers, architects, and component vendors. Presented technical risks and design trade-offs at PDR/CDR reviews.

Things I build

In my spare time I build personal tools and end-to-end experiments โ€” mostly at the intersection of AI and infrastructure. A problem bothers me, I build something. More projects landing here soon.

Let's talk.

I enjoy connecting with people working on interesting problems in tech, infrastructure, or anything in between. If something here resonated โ€” I'm always up for a good conversation.
